International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS), London
Professional Certificate in Human Rights
22 - 26 February 2016
The International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) exists to promote effective policy making and good governance through better interaction between Parliaments, Governments and other stakeholders in society.
The Centre’s primary focus is the empowerment of Human Capital through Capacity Building. To this effect, the Centre organises a range of Training Programmes, Conferences and Policy Discussions to address current public policy issues on the International Stage, in the European Union and the UK. These provide a forum for policy discussion, debate, networking and sharing of best practices.
Centre for Parliamentary Studies is delighted to inform you that the
Professional Certificate in Human Rights will take place in London from
22 - 26 February 2016.
The demand for human rights is being heard across the world from the ground up as the UN’s Post-2015 Agenda takes form. Significant inequalities, environmental degradation, repression, and structural indignities are unsustainable and the cause of countless conflicts worldwide.
Comprehensive knowledge of human rights issues alongside an understanding of how to develop action plans that are both sustainable and accountable is critical. Participants will examine both the legislative and legal international structures dealing with human rights, alongside more specific issues such as discrimination and gender. The course also guides participants, through best practice case studies and discussions with leading practitioners, on how to develop action plans to tackle human rights abuses and protect people’s rights.
This is a specialist training course leading to a Level 5 Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Certificate in Management and Leadership. Upon completion of this five day-long course and subsequent written tasks, the successful candidate will be awarded a Level 5 CMI certificate in Management & Leadership showing the CMI units achieved. The CMI is the only chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence. The professional qualifications offered by the Institute are internationally recognised and sought after.
