Geneva, 27-31 August 2012.
UPR Info is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland, entirely dedicated to the Universal Periodic Review. Its aim is to both raise awareness and provide capacity-building tools to the different actors of the UPR process, such as UN Member States, non-governmental organisations, National Human Rights Institutions and civil society in general.
Created in February 2008, UPR Info is currently composed of two staff members. As a result of its deep involvement in the UPR since its inception in April 2008, the organisation has developed a unique expertise on the process itself and has an extensive record of each reviews. It website is, besides the OHCHR website, the first source of information on the UPR and is a valuable resource providing useful tools to UPR actors.
The intern will manage the website (no IT skills needed) in English, French and Spanish, uploading documents and maintaining our database of recommendations. She/he will also prepare data and reports for our follow-up programme.
The intern will also attend the UPR 14th Session from 23 October to 5 November and follow parts of the 21st Human Rights Council session.
