Advanced Course on International Criminal Law 
Special Focus: International Criminal Justice, Migration and Human Trafficking

This advanced course, offered by The Hague Academy of International Law in cooperation
with the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies of Leiden University, provides in-depth understanding, discussion and training in theory and practice of International Criminal Law. 


This year’s session focuses on International Criminal Justice, Migration and Human Trafficking.

Faculty 
The course is coordinated by Prof. Carsten Stahn, Professor of International Criminal Law and Global Justice at Leiden University. Lectures, seminars and exercises will be given by influential academics and leading professionals from international courts and institutions, including:

• Prof. Tom Obokata, Professor of International Law and Human Rights, Keele University

• Dr. Anne T. Gallagher, former Adviser on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling to
the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

Application and fees 
The course is targeted towards practitioners who seek to enlarge their vision or discover a
new field of practice and scholars seeking to gain expertise in the application of concepts and norms. To allow high level debate and intensive seminars, a maximum of 40 applicants will be admitted. Tuition fees: € 1500. Deadline for application: 1 April 2016. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis.
