Eurochild is an international non-governmental organisation based in Brussels, which promotes the well-being and rights of children and young people at the European level and, through its membership, in the European countries. We are supported financially by the European Commission.
Eurochild is looking for two interns to assist in the development and implementation of Eurochild policy priorities, which currently include political advocacy on child poverty and well-being, campaign on deinstitutionalisation and quality alternative care for children, child and youth participation, and mainstreaming of children’s rights in all EU processes.
All interns are engaged under an internship contract with a standard remuneration.

Knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish will be considered an asset. Evidence of previous experience or a strong interest in refugee matters or human rights is appreciated.

The Straniak Academy for Democracy and Human Rights was established in 2013 by the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights - Research Association in Vienna in cooperation with the Faculties of Law and Sociology of the University of Vienna and the Faculties of Law and Political Sciences of the University in Montenegro. The name of the Academy refers to its main facilitator, the Hermann and Marianne Straniak Foundation. The implementation of the Straniak Academy is also supported by the Central European Initiative (CEI), the assurance company UNIQA, the agricultural company Agrana, the law firm Grilc Vouk Škof, and others.
In 2015, the Academy will take place for the third time in Montenegro from 6 to 19 September 2015 in Ulcinj, in the hotel complex “Dvori Balsića” and “Palata Venezia”.

The Global Campus of Master’s Programmes and Diplomas in Human Rights and Democratisation of the EIUC is pleased to announce the first edition of PRISMA Human Rights Photo Contest. The contest was officially launched during the Venice Art Biennale opening, with Alfredo Jaar as a special guest. The photo contest is open from1 May and will accept submissions until 30 June 2015. PRISMA invites photographers, professional and amateur, from any part of the world to submit their work.
The selected images will be displayed, along with photographs by the special guest photographer Rena Effendi, in an exhibition in Venice, at the Monastery of San Nicolò, the premises of the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) in September 2015, during the 72nd Venice International Film Festival.
