People in Need
6th Annual One World Human Rights Film Festival
Brussels, 14-23 May 2012
Exceptionally we would like to point to an interesting non purely academic event taking place in Brussels.
People in Need, in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, the European Parliament, the Czech Centre in Brussels, the Human Rights and Democracy Network, the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts and the Goethe Institute, cordially invites you to the 6th International Human Rights Film Festival One World.
This year, the festival’s graphics – along with the motto Youth Quake – draw attention to movements and protests of young people in different parts of the world expressing their dissatisfaction with the establishment. Yet this is not the case of the Arab world only; this is also the case of countries with a long history of democracy.
The festival is held under the auspices of Martin Schulz, the President of the European Parliament and Ambassador Milena Vicenová, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the European Union, in partnership with Movies that Matter (The Hague), Festival des Libertés (Brussels), Human Rights Without Frontiers and UNRIC Brussels.
● All the screenings (except in Bozar) are FREE of charge. However, tickets must be ordered in advance.
● Registration and tickets: www.czechrep.be/oneworld.
● This year’s program: www.czechrep.be/oneworld.
● This year’s edition of One World in Prague: http://www.oneworld.cz/.
