SOS Children’s Villages Austria is offering a traineeship position in Vienna.
Tasks and Responsibilities
● Support the team in engaging in the post-2015 agenda (follow up to the Millennium Development Goals) and in different advocacy campaigns;
● Prepare briefings on themes and countries (e.g. HIV/AIDs, Disabilities…);
● Write articles for the intranet and the internet;
● Screen reports and summarise information;
● Develop databases on partnerships and other topics;
● Administrative tasks.
Requirements
● Advanced degree in development, international relations, social sciences or related field;
● Excellent research, writing and editing skills;
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
● Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and produce results;
● Ability to meet deadlines, often on short notice;
● Fluency in English; knowledge of German, French or Spanish an advantage;
● Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
● Computer literate (Word, Excel, …).

● 6-month contract of employment starting with August or September.
